Who took them, and under what licence. Cropped versions carry the licence of the original.
The photographs here are freely-licensed pictures of Picton from Wikimedia Commons. Where a photo shows a particular venue, it appears on that venue's page with its date, because a building can change a lot in a decade. Everywhere else, photos show the town, never a specific business.
The coloured drawings on venue cards are our own illustrations of a category — a coffee, a sandwich, a pizza — and never a picture of a particular kitchen. We'd rather show an obvious drawing than an image that implies photography we don't hold.
